Meet Your Photographer

Chrissy Barrett is a St. Charles native, currently residing in Geneva As the owner of First Impression, Chrissy combines expertise as a photographer with a love of design. Chrissy has always been passionate about her photography and is equipped with the tools needed to lead this business. Throughout her career, Chrissy has managed channels of media planning and placement, event planning, creative coordination, flyers, and preparing marketing material. Experience has taught her that a successful marketing plan is only as good as its implementation. When preparation and execution come together as a whole, the result is an effective campaign and a very high level of customer satisfaction.
From the beginning, Chrissy knew her heart’s desire was to work in a creative field so she pursued her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing from Northern Illinois University. Upon graduating, she accepted a position doing business-to-business sales of computer hardware & software. Through cold calling, Chrissy built a portfolio in excess of 100 customer accounts. To establish the confidence of her newfound accounts, Chrissy regularly created folders containing information specific to her customers’ needs. This level of focused attention gained her customers’ trust and made Chrissy their go-to person!
After nearly a year of inside sales, Chrissy accepted a position at her family’s John Deere business. This career change allowed her the opportunity to concentrate her efforts on marketing. There, she became the sole contact for media planning and placement, trade show and event planning, customer follow-up, and retail sales of tractors and attachments. Her successful marketing campaigns, repeat business, and yearly growth at open houses and consumer events made her a valuable member of their team. After 11 years of marketing and sales experience, Chrissy decided to leave the family business and create a business of her own!
